SOHEIL ARABI AND BEHNAM MOUSIVAND HAVE STARTED A HUNGER STRIKE:

According to the social media reports, today, October 19, 2021, SOHEIL ARABI, the anarchist political prisoner and BEHNAM MOUSIVAND, the social activist, have started a hunger strike after being beaten by prison guards at Rajaei Shahr Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran.

Earlier on October 6, 2021, the two prisoners had refused to attend the “Revolutionary Court in Tehran”. They had been accused of “disruptive activities” and “insulting Ali Khamenei”, the leader of the ruling fascist Islamist state in Iran.

Behnam Mousivand, born in 1987, was arrested by the security police on February 1, 2018. He was released on bail after six weeks, and in September 2019, he was sentenced by the “Revolutionary Court in Tehran” to five years in prison, accused of “gathering and conspiracy against the national security”. This sentence was later reduced by the Court of Appeal to one year in prison.

Soheil Arabi has been in prison since November 7, 2013.
