According to the social media reports, 48-year-old Abbas Derris (Shalishat) and his 29-year-old brother Mohsen Derris was arrested in the last days of November 2019 for taking part in the nationwide protests in Khuzistan in western Iran. They are currently being held in Bandar Mashour Prison (Mahshahr) in Khuzistan Province.

Abbas has taken on the murder of a policeman named “Reza Sayyadi” in a forced TV confession under torture. Consequently, he was sentenced by the “Revolutionary Court” to death on charges of: “War against God,” “Disruptive behavior against the public order,” and “Participation in the murder police. ” It is said that his sentence to be carried out on December 5, 2021, but it has been postponed so far. Abbas Derris’s life is in grave danger!

The popular uprising in Iran began on November 15, 2019, in protest of the triple increase in the price of gasoline and spread to almost 200 large and small cities and continued for about a week. It is said that several thousand people have been arrested in these protests, more than 5,000 have been injured and at least 1,500 minors and adults have been killed. The Fascist Shia Islamic Caliphate State in Iran since coming to power in 1979, has never published accurate statistics in such areas as usual.
