I am recording this video to your awareness about the situation of prisoners, particularly the warriors against misogyny and compulsory hijab.

The interrogators told me that they will turn “Evin Prison” into a dream for you, that your place will always be in a mental house and prison, and they did exactly that, causing me to suffer from many mental illnesses.

Yet, I want to present my experience from the “Minister’s Detention Center”.

After the interrogation, the prisoners are sent to the “Minister’s Detention Center.” The prisons’ cells are underground. Several stairs must be taken to reach a very dirty cell, there is nothing in the cell except a few pieces of dirty carpet on the floor and three rough and dirty blankets.

According to a friend of Mrs. Mirghaffari’s who had a phone call with her on Thursday, Mrs. Mirghaffari has said that she has seen the Security forces, and after that she has no longer heard from her.

Leila Mirghaffari is one of the activists protesting against poverty, corruption and the compulsory hijab, and has repeatedly been arrested and transferred to “Amin Abad”, which appears to be a mental asylum (but in the guise of a sanatorium), the torture is actually a lot more horrific and disturbing than in prison.

She has been subjected to severe trauma. She had previously been subjected to severe torture for exposing the corruption one of dignitaries of Islamic regime, “Hashim Metabli Kashani.”

Recently, after the murder of “Gina Amini”, she appeared before the “Kasra Hospital” and protested her murder. She was one of the first detainees and was released from prison on bail three days later. But once again, due to disclosure about the conditions of the prison and the violent treatment by a woman known as the “Colonel”, she was arrested.

Mrs. Mirghaffari’s doctor has warned that any kind of stress is extremely dangerous for her and will cause her to have a panic attack and severe convulsions, and that there is a risk of heart attack. Nevertheless, despite the fact that Mrs. Mirghaffari is subject to the law of not tolerating punishment, impunity, she has been imprisoned and subjected to torture.
