According to social media reports, the political activist and anarchist #Masib_Raisi_Yeganeh, imprisoned since April 2023 & currently in Evin prison, have attempted suicide by taking pills because of the harassment and torture of the 8th ward’s Infirmary chief (Sheikh Nawaz) and the security enforcer of Evin prison (Ilyasi) and has now been transferred to Luqman Hospital.

In recent years, Masib Raisi Yeganeh suffered from various diseases in prison and was also prohibited from call and visits by the case officer because of protesting the right to treatment and medical leave.

Masib Raisi’s suicide is the only direct result of deliberate and torturous actions of the 8th ward’s Infirmary chief and the security enforcer. The criminal regime of the Islamic Republic and they are to blame and the target of revenge in this matter.
